Hello everyone. My name is Starlette and I am a shopaholic.
This may seem totally insane to any or all who may come across my blog.....oh well.
I am wanting to share with you and document my feelings of frustration and excitement as I start this year, 2010, with a commitment to shop LESS!!!
I have come to this decision for several different reasons.
First, because I have committed myself to God to make some personal sacrifices this year and this my HUGE personal sacrifice. I know that many of you may be going WHATEVER!!!!
But, this is huge for some of us who can't get enough white shirts, black pants, have to have the same shoe in black and brown, and have to get a fix at least once a month if not more often.
Second, because I am spending more money than I can collect in my "fun money" category, as we call it in our house.
And have gone waaaaaaayyyy above my clothes budget for let's just say every year of my life since I was able to buy clothes for myself!!!!!
Therefore, I am going to give it great effort to go as many days as possible and not buy shoes or unnecessary clothes. Let's face it....I know that I am not as bad as the famous fashionistas of the world but let's face it I don't have that kind of money either.
So, I am keeping it in perspective and seeing how many days I can stay "CLEAN."
So far, I haven't even had the urge to go shopping. I know, I know it is only January 13th, but so far....so good.
